Job Title: Kindergarten-3rd Grade Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and instructional activities that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with varying academic abilities, cultural backgrounds, and learning styles.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences and promote active participation.
• Assess student progress and performance using a variety of assessment tools and strategies, and use data to inform instructional decisions and support student growth.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and academic expectations.
• Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and support staff to address the individual needs of students and provide appropriate interventions or accommodations as needed.
• Foster a classroom culture that promotes kindness, respect, empathy, and cooperation among students, and model positive behavior and attitudes.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay informed about best practices in early childhood education, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of instructional programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administrators to support the overall functioning of the school and the success of all students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• Valid teaching license or certification for the appropriate grade level and subject area.
• Previous experience teaching in a K-3 classroom setting preferred, with a strong understanding of child development, early literacy and numeracy, and best practices in elementary education.
• Passion for working with young children and a commitment to fostering their academic, social-emotional, and physical development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment that meets the needs of diverse learners and promotes equity and inclusion.
• Knowledge of instructional technologies and proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning activities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and engage in reflective practice.
